Snow Carving

Individual households sign-up to carve some snow! Let’s bring some joy to winter and show off some creative talent!
4'x8' snow forms will be carved by individual households (no multi-households). Sculptors will have 4 hours to complete a sculpture. At the end of the day, the sculptures competing will be judged and the winning group will be announced on Facebook. Blocks will be safely spread out and participants will wear masks while on site.

Registration will be taken on a first come first serve basis (max of 20). The deadline for submissions is Monday, February 8, 2021. Registration form must include the selection of VERTICAL or HORIZONTAL for the 4’x4’x8′ snow form. Registered sculptors must check-in between 9:30 AM and 10 AM on the day of the contest. Sculpting begins at 10 AM. No tools are provided, but many past participants have used: shovels, garden spades, spatulas, saws, ice scrapers, etc. No motorized tools may be used in construction.

Households not participating can view the progress or completed sculptures after 4PM. Individual households are welcome to observe the snow sculptures from a distance wearing masks and participate in voting for their favorite design online! Sculptor areas will be marked for safe distance viewing. Progress and images will also be available on Facebook throughout the day.
