Meet Our Instructors:

Kate Troy: has had a lifelong involvement in sports. She is certified through USA Rugby as a coach. Kate came to VT in 2009 to take a teaching position at Northwest. She began coaching rugby in the Rutland area in 2015, and has served on the 802 Rugby board since 2018. Kate has coached the U19 girl's program, and the adult teams (both men and women), and has run youth sessions during Rec camps to introduce local children to rugby.

Jessa Giordano: Jessa was the tournament director of the New York 7s tournament from 2001-2010 as well as the USA Rugby National Women's Club Championships at Walt Disney World in 2006. She is a USA Rugby certified level 200 coach, and co-founded and coached the Long Island Youth Rugby flag rugby program from 2016-2021. Jessa and her family relocated to Rutland in August of last year and is excited to help Rutland Rugby build youth rugby opportunities in this part of the state!
