How do I register?

  • Office Hours for Registration: Monday - Friday, 8AM-4PM @ Rutland Rec Community Center, or call 802-773-1822

    • Registrations placed over the phone must be paid during that time with a Visa/MasterCard

  • Registration is available 24/7 online - REGISTER ONLINE NOW!

  • Please reference the designated registration deadlines for each individual program.

    • Some programs have registration dates earlier than the start date to accommodate for scheduling and staffing.

  • All payments are due at the time of registration - we cannot hold registration without payment.


Residents

  • To qualify as a resident, you must live within the City of Rutland limits.

  • Residents receive a reduced price on programming and priority registration for select programs.

  • Some sports teams may be restricted to residents only, if your town or city has it’s own team we encourage you to play for that team, if your town or city does not have their own team you can inquire about joining the Recreation Team with the designated program director.


Non-REsident

  • All programs are subject to have a non-resident fee in addition to the regular registration fee of $11.

  • Programs are subject to be cancelled or postponed year-round for inclement weather. Registered participants will be notified by email and the information will be posted on our Website and Facebook Page.

  • The Recreation and Parks Department will do it’s best to reschedule all postpone programs.

  • The Recreation and Parks Department reserves the right to cancel programs due to insufficient enrollment or other reasons preventing the acceptable presentation of the program.

    • Registered participants will receive a refund for cancellations of programs.

Cancellations & Postponed Programs


  • The Recreation and Parks Department does NOT provide accident or hospitalization insurance for participants. Participants are strongly advised to have adequate insurance. Participation for all Programs, Events, Parks and Facilities is at your own risk.

Do you provide insurance?


  • Behaviors of participants that pose a risk to other participants, staff and or the participant himself/herself or that so alters the program to such a degree that we are no longer offering the intended program, will be a cause to remove the participant or participants from the program either temporarily or permanently.

Scholarship Program

  • The Rutland Recreation and Parks Department Committee recognize that the charging of fees for programs may place such an economic hardship on some individuals that they are unable to participate. For that reason, a fee reduction and assistance system is available for eligible residents of Rutland City. All applications may take 7-10 days to process, please plan accordingly.


  • A full refund (subjected to a $5 administrative fee) will be given for a withdrawal from a program if requested ten business days prior to the program’s start date using the refund request form.

  • Full refunds will be given out if the recreation makes changes to a program that prohibits the participant from attending.

  • 50% Refund will be given for withdrawal from a program if the request is made less than ten business days prior to the program start date.

  • 25% Refund will be given for withdrawal from a program if the request is made within 24 hours of the program’s start date.

  • REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN MORE THAN 24 HOURS AFTER THE PROGRAM HAS STARTED
