Description: Rutland Swim Team is a fun and exciting opportunity to learn the sport of swimming with friends and family.  Swim Team is a unique sport with individual progress in a team environment.  The summer swim team is also unique because it becomes family event!  If you are thinking about joining the swim team, then you are already a step closer to a fun and active summer!  Bring a friend along!

This summer we are offering evening practices for those swimmers who may miss a morning practice or may just want another practice the same day.  

Practices will focus on technique in each of the four strokes, Freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and Butterfly.  Swimmers will also learn flip turns and competitive dives.

Mon-Fri AM practices
11-19 Years Olds will practice 8:00-9:15am
5-10 Year Olds will practice 9:15-10:00 am  

*Evening practices are available for those who cannot make morning practices

Mon/Wed PM practices
 All ages 7:00-8:00 PM

Cost: $95.00R/$106.00NR

*All swimmers must be a member of Whites Pool
Purchase a full pass or a swim team only pass (limited to practices and meets) for $30.00

Meets will be held:

  • July 2nd @ 4PM

  • July 9th until 3PM

  • July 27th ALL DAY


Private Lessons: 
5 (30 Minute) lessons for 1 Child: $40 Resident | $51 Non-Resident

Additional Children are $10 each (up to 3 Children per lesson)

Parent and Child Aquatics (Aquatots): 
The purpose of Parent and Child Aquatics is to teach safe behaviors around the water and develop swimming readiness by leading parents and their children in water exploration activities with the objective of having fun and becoming comfortable in, on and around the water. Ages 6 months-18 months

Preteen and Adult Lessons:
Lessons are geared toward beginner and advanced beginner swimmers.  Great opportunity to learn swimming, but also for adults who may want to improve their skill of swimming.  

Preschool Aquatics (3 levels): 
Preschool Aquatics aims to promote the developmentally appropriate learning of fundamental water safety and aquatic skills by young children.  Red Cross Preschool Aquatics teaches aquatic and safety skills in a logical progression through three levels of courses. Ages 18 months-2 years

Learn to Swim (6 levels): 
Red Cross Learn-to-Swim consists of six comprehensive levels that teach youth of varying abilities how to swim skillfully and safely.  Ages 3-12. The six levels include:

• Level 1: Introduction to Water Skills: Blowing Bubbles, Front Float and Back Float

•Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills: Floating and movement in the water independently for 5 yards. Face submerged in water

• Level 3: Stroke Development: Build on skills learned in Level 2.  Freestyle and Backstroke
with the fundamentals of treading water

•Level 4: Stroke Improvement: Confidence in Freestyle and Backstroke while increasing endurance. 

 Breaststroke and Butterfly introduced

•Level 5: Stroke Refinement: Stroke drills introduced for each of the four strokes. Swimmers entering into this level should be able to swim 50 yards of freestyle

• Level 6: Skill Proficiency: Personal Water Safety, Fundamentals of Diving, Fitness Swimmer


Adult Aquatic fitness classes!

Tracy Tedesco, of Fitness Made Fun!, and instructors, Jenn and Allie, will lead you through a full body strengthening water workout!
