PossumHaw is a dynamic, original bluegrass and country-folk quintet from Burlington, Vermont. The band has evolved to combine award-winning, evocative songwriting and singing with top-notch bluegrass instrumentation since 2004. PossumHaw offers stellar vocal harmonies, original music, and impressive acoustic instrumentation on stage.
PossumHaw has produced four albums: Waiting and Watching (2014), Fortune's Name (2010), Madtom (2007) and Split-rail (2005). The band has made appearances at places such as the Champlain Valley Folk Festival, First Night Burlington, Higher Ground, the Long Trail Festival, and at other venues throughout the Northeast.
Band member credentials: Colby Crehan (lead vocalist) was named Vermont Vocalist of the Year, and her song "Road to Mora" was named Vermont Song of the Year. She also performs as lead singer with the Bluegrass Gospel Project with former members of Northern Lights and Breakaway. Stephen Waud (mandolin) also performs with the Modern Grass Quintet. Mitch Barron (upright bass) was a member of Bread and Bones before joining PossumHaw.
